Controlling Partition

Purpose:

You can set the arming mode (away arming, stay arming, or disarming) of a partition via the client. A partition is a group of zone(s) that may be controlled independently (armed and disarmed) from any other groups. If the security control panel have two partitions, you basically have two separate systems.

Note: The wireless security control panel supports only one partition (or independent system) currently.

On the Hik-Connect page, tap the arming status icon ( or if the Hik-Connect page is in list mode, or or if in thumbnail mode ) to enter the control panel page.

On the control panel page, you can tap Away, Stay, Disarming to set the arming mode of the partition to away arming, stay arming, and disarming respectively. You can also tap Clear Alarm to clear alarm.

The following table shows the descriptions of away arming, stay arming, and disarming.

Arming Mode

Descriptions

Away Arming

When all the people in the detection area leave, turn on the away arming mode to turn on all zones in the partition after the defined dwell time.

Stay Arming

When the people stays inside the detection area, turn on the stay arming mode to turn on all the perimeter burglary detection (such as perimeter detector, magnetic contacts, curtain detector in the balcony). At the meantime, the detectors inside the detection area are bypassed (such as PIR detectors). People can move inside the area and alarm will not be triggered.

Disarming

In disarming mode, all the zones in the partition will not trigger alarm, no matter alarm events happen or not.
